Celebrating the life of
Daniel (Danny) Robin Ayala
December 13, 1951 - August 02, 2025

Daniel “Danny” Robin Ayala, 73, of Tybee Island, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025.
Born on December 13, 1951, in Savannah, Danny relocated to Tybee Island at the age of 16. He retired from the Georgia Ports Authority after more than 32 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Pagan Ayala; his children, Kevin Ayala (Laura), Jill Ayala, Tiffanie Knight (Louis), Chad McCoy (Lori), and Marian Roberts (Chris); his cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Bella, Ellie, Abe, Morgan, Jordan, Devin, Casey, Brooklyn, Hannah, and Jack; and a great-grandchild, Carter.
Danny is also remembered by his siblings: Carmen McIntyre (Donny, late), Tommy Ayala (Linda), Linda Howard (Elton), Joey Ayala (Lori), Cindy Carter (Mark), Richard Ayala (Karen), Michael Ayala (Jennifer), and Lorie Waters. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Danny is reunited in heaven with his beloved parents, Cristobal and Doris Ayala, and his siblings, Theresa Lucas (Billy), Dennis (Kathy), Anthony, and Juan (Shelia).
Danny will be remembered for his generosity and helping spirit. He was the kind of man who might not finish his own projects, but was always there to lend a hand with yours. With a glass of sweet tea in one hand and the scent of a cigar wafting in the air, he built more than just tangible things—he built trust, friendship, and a legacy of kindness and hard work. No matter the challenges life presented, Danny was there with a helping hand.
No one could tell a story quite like Danny. Whether recalling a memory from his younger days or spinning a tale with just the right amount of truth and humor, he had an incredible ability to make people laugh, listen, and feel included in something special—because with Danny, you always felt a part of it.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8th, 2025 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Tybee Island, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery, located off Dean Forest Road. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the American Legion on Tybee Island.
Danny will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
